LOWER MANHATTAN CULTURAL COUNCIL
When I became an artist-in-residence on Governors Island, I learned that the apostrophe is not used in the name. I was curious about why and how he now spent his time. I made a photo essay that includes an interview I conducted with the apostrophe where I gave him a chance to explain the history of his removal from the name and his subsequent retirement.
